Solvent recovery. Reducing emissions to air to a minimum, while recovering the pollutant and achieving major savings sums up the solvent recovery principle. If the solvent concentration is sufficient and the recovered solvent can be reused in the process, solvent recovery becomes extremely cost-effective.

 

Extrudate activated carbon is used for this application, as, in addition to its high adsorption capacity, it can also easily be desorbed either thermally (with low temperature steam) or under high vacuum (a few millibars).
